Privacy Policy for PetBloom

This Privacy Policy describes how PetBloom (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use the PetBloom mobile application on iOS. PetBloom is published by Dinero Automation LLC.
PetBloom is built around a simple principle: your data is yours, and we collect as little as possible.
Summary
- We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
- All your focus history, streaks, gem balance, and cat customization is stored on your device and backed up to your own private iCloud account (if you’re signed in to iCloud). We never see this data.
- Purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store. We never see your payment information.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- Cat name and focus goal: Stored locally on your device only. We never see this.
- Cat photo (optional): If you choose to upload a photo of your cat, it is stored on your device only. The photo is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.
- Focus session details: Each completed Pomodoro session — its date, duration, the optional task name you typed, and the XP earned — is stored locally in the app’s database.
- None. PetBloom does not include any analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDKs. We have no servers that receive data from the app.
- Purchase information: When you purchase PetBloom Pro (monthly, yearly, or lifetime) or any future in-app product, the transaction is handled by Apple’s App Store via StoreKit. We receive a verification token confirming your purchase status (active or not), but we never receive your name, payment method, or contact information.
- Notification permission: If you grant permission, PetBloom uses iOS’s local notification system to remind you about focus sessions. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification content is sent through any server.
We do not use your information for any purpose beyond running the app on your device. Specifically:
- We do not target advertising.
- We do not build profiles about you.
- We do not share your data with marketing partners.
- We do not sell your data — there is no data of yours that we possess to sell.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account. You can delete it at any time by:
- Using Delete All Data in the app’s Settings → Data & Privacy section
- Deleting the app from your device, which removes all local data (your iCloud backup remains until you use Delete All Data or remove PetBloom’s data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage)
Children’s Privacy
PetBloom is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation, age input, or any personal information that would let us identify a child user.
Photos and Camera
If you choose to upload a photo of your cat as your in-app pet, PetBloom uses the standard iOS photo picker, which only gives the app the single photo you select — it cannot see the rest of your library. The photo you select is:
- Cropped to a square preview
- Saved to the app’s local Documents directory only
- Never uploaded, shared, or transmitted
You can remove the uploaded photo at any time inside the app’s Settings → My Cat section.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, PetBloom can send you reminders about focus sessions and streak warnings. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. You can disable any reminder, change reminder times, or revoke notification permission entirely in iOS Settings → Notifications → PetBloom.
Third-Party Services
PetBloom integrates with the following Apple-provided services. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — for handling in-app purchases. See Apple’s App Store Privacy Policy.
- Apple UserNotifications — for scheduling local reminders. No data leaves your device.
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit and iCloud key-value storage) — to back up your focus history and your cat’s progress to your own private iCloud account, so it comes back if you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone. This data is stored in your iCloud account, not on our servers, and we cannot access it. You can turn off iCloud for PetBloom in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
PetBloom does not integrate with Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, Branch, AppsFlyer, Adjust, or any other third-party analytics or attribution service.
In-App Purchases
PetBloom Pro is available as a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple. Subscription terms are governed by your Apple ID’s standard subscription rules — you can cancel anytime in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. We do not store, see, or have access to your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID email.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any data on our servers, traditional data-subject rights (access, deletion, portability, etc.) are largely fulfilled by your direct control over the app:
- Access: All your data is visible to you inside the app or in iOS’s Files app.
- Deletion: Delete the app from your device. All data is removed.
- Portability: A future update may include an export feature. In the meantime, you can request your data is yours by definition since it never leaves your device.
If you live in the EU/EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), the same applies — we have no data of yours to export, delete, or correct, because we never collect any.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when we ship significant new features (for example, if we ever add cloud-based AI features that would require a server). When we do, we will post the new version at this same URL with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will also notify users in-app before the change takes effect.
